Futurallia 2005: Local Businesses look to the Future
A trade delegation of businesses and officers from the Swansea Bay area travelled to the 10th Futurallia in Brussels between 1st - 3rd June. As well as the twelve companies from the area the successful International Business Forum was also attended by over 800 businesses from 44 countries around the World.
Local firms from Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot attended the event to either embark on international activity to increase their overseas markets and attended up to twenty pre arranged meetings over the two days.
The Swansea Bay Companies were, Adwell Foods Ltd., Aquasoll Ltd., Brass Bullet Ltd, Canspa Ltd., Corgi Hosiery., Energy Tech Ltd., FT Logistics Ltd., Imaze Ltd., Michton Ltd., PhaST Systems Ltd., Seven Oaks Joinery Ltd., and Quantum CAD Ltd.

Cllr Gareth Sullivan Chairman for Economic Development said “This is part of general support we give to local business in the area and it is pleasing to see it could have such positive results”.
This event was part of a wider strategy to encourage Inter Trading between businesses in Swansea Bay and areas abroad, with further events planned in 2005 are Nantong, China and Sundsvall, Sweden.
