Swansea Institute has one of the best-regarded video and photography departments in the UK. The University houses the Digital Technium, purpose-built for this sector. Spin-out loans of £25,000 interest free are available for those leaving academia to go into business.
Smaller enterprises can receive local authority grants up to £5,000 and loans 2% below base rate of £5,000. Other funding is available from Regional Selective Assistance Grants, Europe's highest at up to 47% for SMEs.
